Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: In this study, at least 2 points of the new Phoenix Sepsis Score (PSS) (including respiratory, cardiovascular, coagulation, and nervous system dysfunction) were used to determine whether children with suspected infections [<18 years old (excluding perinatal hospitalized newborns and premature infants (<37 weeks)] have sepsis. Septic shock is defined as sepsis with a PSS cardiovascular score of at least 1.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Several exclusion criteria were used, including patients over 18 years of age, patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), patients with cirrhosis of the liver, and patients with an ICU stay of less than 24 hours.
