Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age: 18 years and above; (2) Patients diagnosed with halitosis by a physician and with a halitosis odds ratio (OR) >= 2; (3) Patients diagnosed with mild/moderate periodontal disease by a physician.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients who have taken antibiotics, glucocorticoids or other immunosuppressants, foods and medicines containing probiotics and prebiotics within the past month; (2) Patients who have received periodontal treatment within the past 3 months; (3) Patients with non-oral halitosis (gastritis, rhinitis, pharyngitis, smoking, severe liver and kidney diseases, constipation, etc.); (4) Patients with mental illnesses; (5) Patients with systemic diseases such as diabetes; (6) Patients during pregnancy and lactation; (7) Patients who are determined by the researchers to be unable to complete the study on time.
