Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Meets the diagnostic criteria for SM in DSM-V. (2) Children aged 3-18, regardless of gender. (3) Total IQ >=70 on the Wechsler Intelligence Test for children over 6 years of age; Total GQ >=70 on the Griffiths Test for children under 6 years of age. (4) Parents of SM children are native Chinese speakers with primary school education or above. (5) Parental informed consent and voluntary participation in the programme.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Children with symptoms of selective mutism reported by parents or self-reported by children due to communication disorders (such as stuttering, dysarthria, etc.). (2) Children with clear diagnoses of separation anxiety disorder, autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia and other mental disorders. (3) Clearly diagnosed chromosomal diseases, genetic diseases, genetic metabolic diseases of children. (4) Insufficient clinical data (such as inadequate psychological and behavioral assessment, cognitive development assessment, or incomplete assessment data at follow-up) or inability to adhere to the follow-up.
