Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who visited the Department of Orthopedics at Fuqing Hospital from January 1, 2024 to May 30, 2023. Grouping: Group A (n=12): Male patients aged 20-40 years (well nourished, BMI 18.5-23.9 kg/m2) who require open reduction and internal fixation surgery for upper femoral fractures; Group B (n=12): Elderly male patients aged 65 years and above who do not suffer from muscle atrophy and require femoral head replacement for hip fractures; Group C (n=12): Elderly male patients over 65 years old with sarcopenia who require femoral head replacement for hip fractures.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pathological fracture, combined with other organ injury or fracture at other parts, previous operation affecting the lateral thigh muscle structure, tumor disease, rheumatic disease, diabetes, myopathy or other neuromuscular disease history, chronic virus infection (hepatitis B virus [HBV], hepatitis C virus [HCV], human immunodeficiency virus [HIV], etc.); Taking anti osteoporosis drugs or long-term corticosteroid treatment for autoimmune diseases (more than one month); Injury lasting more than 3 days; Elderly individuals who have not undergone chest CT scans; Patients who do not agree to participate in this experiment.
