Subthreshold depression

Interventions

Experimental group:The participants engage in 30 minutes of cycling exercise on a power bike, followed by a one-week washout period before completing the control task.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)16?Center for Epidemiological Survey-depression scale?19;(2)50?Self-Rating Depression Scale?59;(3) Presence of more than 2 and less than 5 symptoms of major depression in the DSM-V , but not meeting the clinical criteria for major depression; (4) No other mental illness identified in the DSM-V ; (5)Age between 18-30 years; (6)Educational attainment of a bachelor's degree or higher; (7) No history of mental illness;(8) No color blindness or color weakness;(9) Right-handed as the dominant hand.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) History of mental illness;(2) Color blindness or color weakness;(3) Physical illness or other physiological reasons that prevent or prohibit participation in high-intensity exercise;(4) Recent use of medications affecting mood or cognition;(5) Recent receipt of psychological treatment or other psychological interventions;(6) History of head injury leading to loss of consciousness;(7) Mental illness, brain trauma, or other diseases affecting brain structure and function, such as addiction.
