Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients with upper arm radial nerve injury caused by various factors such as humeral fracture or trauma; 2. age between 18 and 60 years; 3. repair delays shorter than one year; 4. preoperative elbow extension strength of at least M3+, with M0 strength in the brachioradialis, wrist and finger extensors; 5. intraoperative confirmation of radial nerve injury site between the first branch of the triceps and the first branch of the brachioradialis; 6. intraoperative EMG showing no elicitable CMAP in target muscles distal to the injury, and no NAP between the distal and proximal nerve segments, with normal SEP of the proximal radial nerve; 7. the nerve defect length exceeded 1 cm with the elbow extended at 180 degrees after complete excision of the scarred or neuroma-like radial nerve;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients not meeting the inclusion criteria; 2. concurrent upper limb fractures without internal fixation; 3. multiple brachial plexus injuries on the same side; 4. severe cardiovascular or systemic diseases; 5. uncontrolled diabetes; 6. patients with Volkmann's contracture of the forearm;
