Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.The patients: (1) were diagnosed with stroke by MRI or CT and met the diagnostic criteria for stroke in the Chinese Guidelines for Stroke Prevention and Treatment (2021 edition) issued by the National Health and Welfare Commission of the People's Republic of China; (2) had muscle strength of grade III or lower on the hemiplegic side of the lower extremity as measured by the unarmed muscle strength ratings; (3) age >=18 years; (4) had normal comprehension and communication skills; and (5) volunteered to participate in the study and signed an informed consent form. 2.The primary caregiver: (1) has no hearing or speech communication impairment; (2) age >=18 years, has been in care for =1 week, and has been in care for =8 hours per day; and (3) voluntarily participates in this study and signs an informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.The patients: (1) a history of disabling lower extremity disorders that impact ankle function, (2) increased muscle tone, (3) the presence of severe psychiatric, communication, or cognitive impairments, (4) comorbidities with other serious physical illnesses, and (5) patients with a diagnosis of DVT prior to participation in the study; 2.The primary caregivers: (1) those who refuse to participate in this study for their own reasons; (2) those who are unable to cooperate with severe hearing, speech, and comprehension impairments;
