Interventions

Group D:Intravenous injection of 10mg/ 5ml dexamethasone during anesthesia induction.
Group C:5 mL of normal saline was administered via intravenous injection during anesthesia induction

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Patients diagnosed with "ankle fracture" and planned for "open reduction and internal fixation surgery"; 2)ASA I-III; 3)Aged 18-75 years; 4)BMI: 18-35 kg/m^2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Obese patients; 2) Contraindications to nerve block, dexamethasone, or ropivacaine; 3) Immunocompromised patients; 4) Abnormal coagulation function; 5) Long-term use of opioid medications; 6) Patients with known neurological diseases; 7) Patients with severe heart, liver, or kidney dysfunction or psychiatric disorders; 8) Infection at the puncture site or abnormal coagulation function; 9) Diabetes.

The difference in pain scores before and after the loss of the nerve block analgesic effect.;The intensity and incidence of rebound pain at the surgical site.;

Duration of nerve block;NRS scores for resting pain at 8h, 12h, and 24h post-surgery, and the worst pain score at 48h post-surgery;Time to first report of pain and time to first request for analgesia (in hours);Number of requests for analgesia;Total amount of opioid drugs, tropisetron, and dezocine used within 24 hours post-surgery;Patient satisfaction with pain relief at 24h and sleep quality on the first night;Postoperative recovery quality (Qo-15);Incidence of opioid-related side effects (such as nausea, vomiting, itching, etc.);Preoperative blood glucose level.;Postoperative Day 2 Morning 6:00 Blood Glucose Level;Nerve Block Success Rate;Complications related to blockade: such as intravascular injection, systemic toxicity of local anesthetics, hematoma, and nerve injury caused by puncture. Telephone follow-ups will be conducted at 7 days and 1 month postoperatively to document any residual symptoms related to nerve blockade (persistent numbness, paresthesia, or weakness).;Surgery duration, anesthesia duration, intraoperative opioid consumption, and recovery time (from arrival at the recovery room to departure from the recovery room).;
