Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who meet the surgical indications for BPH and undergo transurethral thulium laser enucleation of the prostate. Possessing PSEP testing data: PSEP testing was conducted within 3 days prior to surgery and from 3 days to 1 week post-surgery. Possessing baseline IPSS scores, prostate volume (PV), and post-voided residual (PVR) data. Urine analysis, urine sediment, and urine culture test data were available at 1 week and from 1 to 3 months after surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who do not meet the surgical indications for BPH. Patients who lack clinical data, including PSEP, IPSS, PV, PVR, urine test, and urine culture, both before and after surgery. Patients with acute bacterial urinary tract infections both before and after surgery, as indicated by a positive urine test (WBC+), an excess of urinary sediment bacteria above the reference value's lower limit, or a positive urine culture result. Patients with systemic internal medicine diseases that have not been effectively controlled; and those with postoperative pathological reports indicating prostate cancer or other prostate diseases.
