Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: athlete group: 1. Elite long-distance runner from national and provincial teams in China 2. At least a second-level athlete in terms of sports rank 3. right-handedness 4. possessed normal or corrected-to-normal vision without color blindness control group: 1 right-handedness 2 possessed normal or corrected-to-normal vision without color blindness 3 no professional sports training background 4 matched with the athlete group in terms of height, weight, gender, age, and imagery ability

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Reported subjective or objective symptoms impacting brain function. They had history of cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, or neurological disorders and experience claustrophobia. And had any metallic implants within their bodies.
