Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients of either gender, aged between 18 and 70 years, with symptomatic hemorrhoids graded III to IV according to the Goligher classification system.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with first-degree or second-degree hemorrhoids that are effective for conservative treatment; 2. History of anal surgery, pregnancy; 3. Concomitant anal diseases, including anal fissures, fistulas, incontinence, as well as benign prostatic hypertrophy or bladder neck obstruction, or inflammatory bowel disease. Use of anticoagulants or analgesics. Patients with cardiovascular disease, taking nitrates or calcium channel blockers; 4. Emergency admissions, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grade 3 and 4 patients; 5. Known allergy to local anesthetics and unable to provide written informed consent; 6. Communication and cognitive impairment.
