Interventions

Placebo group:Participants received placebo supplements for 4 consecutive weeks with endurance training.
Probiotic group:After half an hour of training, participants were instructed to consume 15g of the probiotic powder daily, mixed with 100–125 mL of plain water during 4 consecutive weeks.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) The best time in the past year in the 1500m is within 255 seconds; 2) Age 18-24 years old; 3) normal behavioral cognition; 4) BMI between 18.0-24.0 kg/m^2; 5) Signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, eating disorders, hypothyroidism or other metabolic or neurological disorders, and/or musculoskeletal disorders that may preclude training and testing; 2) Oral or topical antibiotics, laxatives, nutritional supplements, proton pump inhibitors, and probiotics within two months before sampling or during the experiment; 3) Failure to sign informed consent; 4) Injured or sick during the experiment, unable to continue training and testing.
