Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years, gender unrestricted; 2. Massive rotator cuff injury identified by preoperative MRI imaging (criteria for massive rotator cuff injury: sagittal plane tear length >=5 cm in the anterior-posterior direction, or involvement of two or more rotator cuff tendons); 3. Intraoperative arthroscopic confirmation of irreparable massive rotator cuff tear; 4. Consent to random assignment to undergo arthroscopic supraspinatus tendon reconstruction or superior capsular reconstruction;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe contraindications to anesthesia (ASA classification III or above); 2. Visual inspection revealing severe atrophy of the muscles around the shoulder joint or electromyography confirming nerve damage; 3. Preoperative imaging examination classified as Hamada grade 4 or above: Grade 4: Grade 3 + narrowing of the glenohumeral joint space; Grade 5: Humeral head cartilage defect; 4. Presence of local or systemic infectious diseases of the shoulder joint;
