Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Full body examination: in good physical condition, excluding major systemic diseases; maxillofacial examination: no history of maxillofacial surgery, no jaw cysts or tumors; oral examination: permanent dentition, teeth fully erupted, no dental defects, no congenital missing teeth, no history of orthodontic treatment. (2) Before treatment: Class I and/or II molar and cuspid relationships, dentally-induced protrusion, moderate or severe crowding in cases of tooth extraction (maxillary and mandibular crowding greater than 4 mm and less than 15 mm), mild crowding or scattered gaps in non-extraction cases (maxillary and mandibular crowding less than 4 mm, maximum remaining gap not exceeding 8 mm). After treatment: neutral relationship between the molars and cuspids, normal overbite and overjet, and teeth aligned without gaps. (3) Before treatment: X-ray cephalometry analysis: ANB angle between -5° and 8°, and the amount of bony protrusion or retrusion of the upper and lower jaws is less than 3mm. (4) The treatment period is less than 36 months, and the patient has given informed consent to the treatment process.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Cases of combined orthodontic and orthognathic treatment, including cases with indications for orthognathic surgery (pre-treatment analysis of the ANB angle by cephalometric X-ray is greater than 6° or less than -6°, and the amount of bony protrusion or retrusion of the upper and lower jaws greater than 3 mm); (2) cases of two-stage treatment; (3) cases of tooth replacement; (4) treatment cycle greater than 36 months; (5) model defects or bubbles (diameter greater than 2 mm) in the poured model, and incomplete case information.
