Control group (Conventional tSFE):Using the alveolar ridge approach to elevate the maxillary sinus mucosa, implanting a DBBM bone substitute
Test group (graft-free tSFE):Elevate the maxillary sinus mucosa using the alveolar process approach, directly implant the fixture, and close the incision

18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patient aged 18 years or older; residual bone height ranging between 3-10 mm; complete available cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) data from the preoperative to the follow-up stage; smoking <= 10 cigarettes per day

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: general contraindications for implant surgery; irradiation in the head or neck area < 1 year before surgery, acute or chronic maxillary sinus pathology, uncontrolled periodontitis or other systemic diseases.
