Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Sepsis group: Patients with sepsis admitted to the Department of critical care medicine of Wuxi People's Hospital; Health Group: healthy people who received physical examination in the physical examination center of Wuxi People's hospital; 2.Over 18 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Receiving immunosuppressive therapy (eg, immunosuppressants, high-dose glucocorticoids, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy); 2.Had diseases with impaired immunity (eg, carcinoma, leukemia, lymphoma, and AIDS); 3.Had intestinal diseases (eg, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal obstruction, and mesenteric vascular obstruction); 4.Had gastrointestinal surgery history within a year; 5.Pregnancy status or perinatal period.
