Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Data from outpatients who underwent 24-hour ABPM at the outpatient clinic of West China Hospital, Sichuan University, from December 7, 2022, to January 20, 2023 (pandemic period) and from December 7, 2021, to January 20, 2022 (prepandemic period) were collected. patient’s age is at least 18 years and ABPM data are available at least once within the above period.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: We excluded patients whose proportion of missing ABPM data (caused by a cuff falling off or interference, etc.) was above 25%, indicating that the data could not be analysed. We also removed from the two study groups all individuals with a diagnosis of secondary hypertension, pregnancy, alcohol or drug abuse, and any of the following conditions: acute heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, or severe trauma during ABPM measurements.
