Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Conforms to the Bartley diagnostic criteria of TAO (2) Clinically active inflammation according to CAScore (>= 3) (3) Severity of TAO according to the EUGOGO classification: moderate-to-severe TAO (4) Age 18–75 years of either gender (5) Patients treated with one of the following two regimens: Regimen 1:a starting dose of 0.5 g i.v. methylprednisolone once weekly for 6 weeks, followed by 0.25 g once weekly for 6 weeks, cumulative dose 4.5 g. Regimen 2:Each cycle is 0.5g i.v. methylprednisolone once daily for 3 days, after 3 days of rest, followed by 0.5g i.v. methylprednisolone once daily for 3 days, cumulative dose 3g. Depending on the condition, up to 6 cycles may be feasible.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients who have been treated with thyroid-related eye surgery, RAI, or glucocorticoid therapy within 3 months (2) Patients with a combination of other immune-related diseases (3) Patients with recent use of lipid-modulating drugs (4) Contraindications to glucocorticoids: recent cases include viral hepatitis, severe hepatic insufficiency, severe cardiovascular disease and complications, psychiatric disorders, active peptic ulcer, active tuberculosis, and uncontrolled infections (5) Patients whose blood glucose and blood pressure are not under good control (6) Patients who have not completed a course of intravenous glucocorticoid therapy
