Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with lumbar disc herniation without other lumbar spine diseases, such as lumbar spine tumors, lumbar spine infections, lumbar spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, etc.. 2. Ineffective strictly conservative treatment for >3 months. 3. Peking University Third Hospital underwent PELD surgery from August 2021 to December 2022.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Incomplete clinical date. 2. Patients with lumbar disc herniation complicated by other lumbar spine diseases. 3. Patients with previous history of lumbar spine surgery.
