18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)Patients aged 18 years or older with a mechanical ventilation duration exceeding 48 hours.(2)Diagnosis of ARDS according to the Berlin Definition, with a PaO2/FiO2 ratio = 200 mmHg.(3)Written informed consent obtained from the patient or their legal guardian.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1)Pregnancy or breastfeeding.(2)Contraindications to prone ventilation, including intracranial hypertension, recent maxillofacial or thoracic surgery, massive hemoptysis, or spinal/pelvic instability.(3)Hemodynamic instability requiring high-dose vasopressors.(4)Presence of severe pneumothorax or pleural effusion requiring drainage.(5)Life expectancy of less than 24 hours or active pulmonary or airway hemorrhage.(6)Severe cardiovascular disease, such as advanced coronary artery disease or recent myocardial infarction.(7)Major surgery within the previous six months.(8)Severe hepatic or renal dysfunction or failure.(9)Any other conditions deemed likely to interfere with the study.
