Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age >= 18 years old, ASA I~IV, preoperative fasting (2 hours of fasting, 8 hours of fasting), T2DM patients who plan to undergo elective surgery, diabetes diagnosis should be carried out in accordance with the WHO 1999 T2DM diagnostic criteria. Patient or family member signs informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: T1DM, specific types of diabetes mellitus and gestational diabetes mellitus, patient's refusal to participate in this study, incomplete collection of clinical data, incomplete collection of biochemical markers, refusal or failure to complete gastric ultrasound prior to anesthesia
