Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: IIM group: patients with a definite diagnosis of IIM, assessed to meet the 1975 Bohan/ Peter criteria and/or the 2017 European Union of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR)/American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria; age > 18 years old, gender is not limited; and complete clinical data. Healthy control group: peripheral blood specimens of healthy controls were obtained from adults who were sex- and age-matched during the same period and who participated in physical examinations at our health management centre.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Combination of other autoimmune diseases; 2. Combination of malignant tumours; 3. Comorbidity with sepsis or previous history of active tuberculosis; 4. history of immunodeficiency, including positive HIV test, or other acquired or congenital immunodeficiency diseases, or history of organ transplantation; 5. a psychiatric disorder or other reason for not being able to co-operate;
