Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Unilateral vestibular dysfunction was enrolled when the results of the hot and cold test showed a decrease in vestibular response of at least 25% (Unilateral Weakness (UW) >=25%); (2) Symptoms of imbalance when standing or walking, and/or motion-induced oscillatory hallucinations during walking or head movements, as well as decreased bilateral hot and cold responses (mean peak slow-phase velocity <6°/s), and/or bilateral vestibulo-ocular reflex gain < 0.6 measured by v-HIT, were enrolled as bilateral vestibular dysfunction.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Visual, orthopedic, or neurological disorders that affect balance; (2) cognitive impairment; (3) Diagnosis of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, Ménière's disease, or vestibular migraine; (4) Conductive hearing loss caused by otitis media or tympanic membrane perforation; (5) Contraindications to vestibular rehabilitation (VRT), including severe pain or cervical spine syndrome; (6) Unable to understand or comply with oral and written instructions, or unable to provide written consent.
