Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for the case group: 1. Age: 6 to 18 years old; 2. Clinical diagnosis of PAC, with diagnostic features including: subjective symptoms such as itchy eyes, tearing, eye redness, and discharge occurring in multiple seasons or almost year-round; objective signs include conjunctival hyperemia and edema without papillary hypertrophy changes; 3. Allergen skin prick test (SPT): positive for dust mites. Inclusion criteria for the normal control group: 1. Age: 6 to 18 years old; 2. No active ocular inflammation within the past 3 months; 3. No use of any topical ophthalmic medication within the past 3 months; 4. No oral corticosteroids or other medications that could affect tear secretion; 5. No systemic diseases that could affect tear secretion (such as Graves' disease, Sjogren's syndrome, etc.); 6. No history of eye surgery; 7. Normal vision clinical standard: -0.25D to +0.50D; 8. No history of eye trauma; 9. No history of contact lens wear; 10. No entropion or ectropion, no abnormalities in the position of the puncta; 11. No eyelid-related inflammatory responses (such as meibomian gland cysts and blepharitis, etc.); 12. Allergen skin prick test (SPT): negative for dust mites.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Eye diseases: Exclusion of other eye conditions, such as history of ocular surgery, eye trauma, entropion with trichiasis, eyelid deformities, active ocular infections, and no history of topical or oral medications in the past 3 months. 2. Systemic diseases: Poor general condition, uncooperative during eye examination, suffering from systemic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, nephrotic syndrome, etc.
