Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria for the ASD with sleep disorders group were: (1) the diagnosis of ASD was confirmed by ADOS assessment and met the diagnostic criteria of DSM-V and International Classification of sleep disorders-third edition; Aged 4-9 years old, gender is not limited, (2) are right-handed; (3) typical clinical symptoms such as sleep resistance, difficulty in falling asleep, late sleep, frequent night wakefulness, night terrors, excessive early wakefulness, short sleep time, circadian rhythm disorder, daytime sleepiness, etc. (4) no use of exogenous melatonin, antipsychotic or hypnotics within 1 month, and (5) informed consent was signed by the Guardian. The criteria for the ASD group were: (1) were diagnosed with ASD according to the diagnostic classification of mental disorders 5th edition (DSM-V) and assessed by ADOS; (2) are right-handed; (3) no use of psychotropic drugs; (4) no clinical symptoms of sleep disorders; (5) The Guardian informed and signed the informed consent, and the children voluntarily participated in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria for ASD were: (1) subjects with other neurological disorder, (2) with co-occurrence of chromosomal or genetic abnormalities, (3) subjects with epilepsy who took medication, (4) subjects with respiratory organic diseases, sleep-related breathing disorders such as anatomic abnormalities (airway stenosis, tonsillar hypertrophy, etc.) , local tissue compliance problems, and (5) subjects who were unable to complete the test. Exclusion Criteria in the TD Group: (1) presence of any neurological or developmental diagnosis/delay, preterm birth, or other significant birth history; (2) use of neuropsychiatric or psychotropic medication; (3) history of seizures; (4) family history of ASD; (5) clinical manifestations of sleep disorders.
