Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age 6 months to 6years. (2) American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I. (3) No other severe organic diseases. (4) No cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Recent upper respiratory tract infection within the past two weeks, history of asthma, or other respiratory diseases. (2) Malignant tumors or severe pulmonary dysfunction. (3) Congenital heart disease, congenital developmental disorders, or other cardiac insufficiency. (4) Severe liver or kidney diseases. (5) Body mass index (BMI) >= 30. (6) Allergy to dexmedetomidine or recent use of sedative drugs. (7) Complex changes in the surgical procedure during the operation. (8) Parental refusal. (9) Abnormal intellectual and cognitive levels. (10) Withdrawal from the study mid-way.
