Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Research One: 1.Meet the diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia as specified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) through structured clinical interview (SCID-V); 2.Age between 16 to 70 years old; 3.Right-handed; 4.Han ethnicity. Research two: Schizophrenia Patients with Dysphagia Group: 1.Meet the diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V) through a structured clinical interview (SCID-V); 2.Aged between 16-70 years; 3.Right-handed; 4.Han Chinese ethnicity; 5.Eating Assessment Tool-10 (EAT-10) questionnaire score >=4. Healthy Control Group: 1.Physically healthy, with no disorders meeting the DSM-V Axis I diagnostic criteria upon SCID screening; 2.No psychotic symptoms with a score greater than "2"; no history of mental illness; 3.No current physical diseases; aged between 16-70 years; 4.No statistically significant differences in gender composition and education level compared to the schizophrenia patient group; 5.Right-handed; 6.Capable of cooperating to complete the assessment content of this project.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Research One: 1.History of substance dependence; history of mental disorders that meet the SCID Axis I diagnostic criteria; 2. History of brain trauma, epilepsy, or other organic brain diseases; 3.Laboratory tests indicate liver or kidney dysfunction or other severe physical diseases and metabolic disorders; 4.Non-cooperative individuals or those who cannot effectively complete the required tasks. 5.Neurogenic dysphagia and structural dysphagia. Research two: Schizophrenia Patients with Dysphagia Group: 1.History of substance dependence; history of mental disorders that meet the SCID Axis I diagnostic criteria; 2.History of brain trauma, epilepsy, or other organic brain diseases; 3.Laboratory tests indicate liver or kidney dysfunction or other severe physical diseases and metabolic disorders; 4.Non-cooperative individuals or those who cannot effectively complete the study; 5.Presence of neurogenic or structural dysphagia. Healthy Control Group: 1.History of substance dependence; history of mental disorders that meet the SCID Axis I diagnostic criteria; 2.History of brain trauma, epilepsy, or other organic brain diseases; 3.Laboratory tests indicate liver or kidney dysfunction or other severe physical diseases and metabolic disorders; 4.Non-cooperative individuals or those who cannot effectively complete the study; 5.Presence of neurogenic or structural dysphagia.
