Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 65 years or older who undergo elective lumbar fusion and internal fixation surgery under combined intravenous and inhalation anesthesia 2. The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classification is less than level IV 3. Surgery time is 2-4 hours 4. Obtain written informed consent from the patient.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with neurodegenerative diseases before surgery, such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, or Alzheimer's disease; 2. History of mental illness, such as depression and anxiety disorders; 3. Preoperative MMSE scores for illiteracy <= 17 points, primary education = 20 points, secondary education <= 22 points, and university education <= 23 points; 4. Anesthesia time is less than 2 hours but greater than 4 hours; 5. The patient has visual or hearing impairments, as well as difficulties in language communication; 6. The patient was transferred to the intensive care unit for treatment after surgery.
