Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for cohort A (1) The population of people aged 18-30 who plan to rush from plain to plateau 3000 meters, with a peaceful constitution; (2) Previous physical health without a history of serious digestive diseases; (3) No history of other diseases with heart or respiratory; (4) Capable of self-care and comprehension of language; (5) Willing to participate in this study and sign an informed consent. Inclusion criteria for cohort B (1) Work and reside in Tibet (altitude>3000m) for 5-10 years, stay in Tibet at least for 9 months per year, aged 18-30 years old; (2) No history of severe gastrointestinal diseases; (3) No history of other diseases with heart or respiratory; (4) Capable of self-care and comprehension of language; (5) Willing to participate in this study and sign an informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Individuals who have previously experienced severe acute mountain sickness, other illnesses such as chronic headache, dizziness, chronic diarrhea, abdominal pain, and severe sleep disorders; (2) Long term take therapeutic drugs or vitamin supplements; (3) Have used antibiotics in the past month; (4) Have taken probiotics orally in the past month for 3 days or more; (5) I have taken proton pump and acid suppressing digestive system drugs orally in the past month.
