Interventions

Experimental group:30 minutes before the end of the operation, dexmedetomidine nasal spray 1µg/kg was given.
Control group:30 minutes before the end of the operation, an equal volume of saline is given in the same manner.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age >= 18 years; (2) American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status I-III; (3) Patients scheduled for elective laparoscopic abdominal surgery; (4) Body Mass Index (BMI): 18-28 kg/m². (5) Expected surgical duration >= 2 hours.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Allergic to alpha-adrenergic drugs; (2) The use of laryngeal mask; (3) Patients with bradycardia (heart rate < 50 beats/min), heart block and sick sinus syndrome before operation; (4) Patients with acute respiratory tract infection, chronic pharyngitis and asthma before operation; (5) long-term use of sedative drugs, such as benzodiazepines, barbiturates and other sedative hypnotics; (6) severe hepatic and renal insufficiency; (7) Cognitive dysfunction or inability to communicate.
