Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Meet the diagnostic criteria for disorders of consciousness in the interpretation of the US Practice Guidelines for Disorders of Consciousness 2018; 2. Age: 18-80 years; 3. Consciousness was in a stable phase (no change in the CRS-R total score) for at least 2 weeks prior to admission; 4. Disorders of consciousness due to stroke or craniocerebral trauma; 5. 28 days after the injury; (vi) Patients with intact skin on the site of the irritation; 6. Family members signing an informed consent form. 7. Family members sign an informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.unstable vital signs; 2. those with infections, ulcers or scarring in the auricle; 3. devices such as artificial pacemakers and cochlear implants installed in the body; 4. previous vagus nerve surgery; 5. deep sedation, e.g., sedation induced by combinations of general anaesthetics (e.g., propofol) or central sedative (e.g., benzodiazepines, opioids).
