Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Included patients were aged 18 years or older with a clinical diagnosis of acute ischaemic stroke from a proximal anterior circulation cerebral vessel occlusion, involving the termination of the internal carotid artery (ICA) or the M1 or proximal M2 segment of the middle cerebral artery (MCA); perform multimodal CT scans (including non-contrast head CT, CTA, and CTP) before thrombectomy treatment; and arterial puncture for thrombectomy within 24 h of first symptoms. Intravenous thrombolysis before the study treatment was allowed.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included: Hemorrhagic stroke; known or suspected chronic intracranial occlusions within the symptomatic territory; severe allergy to contrast media; pre-stroke modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score greater than 1; severe or life-threatening comorbidities that might hinder treatment efficacy or follow-up; and women who were pregnant or breastfeeding.
