Interventions

Group P:After the right lateral decubitus position, 0.1µg/kg PGE1 (diluted to 10 ml of normal saline) was atomized into the right lung.
Group C:After the right lateral decubitus position, aerosolized saline 10 ml was atomized into the right lung.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Sixty patients of both sexes, aged 65-84 yr, with body mass index of 18-28 kg/m2, scheduled for elective radical resection of left lung cancer (single lobe/segment), were enrolled

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous lung surgery history and preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy; The patient had a history of upper respiratory tract infection and severe COPD two weeks before surgery. There was severe dysfunction of important organs such as heart, liver and kidney before operation. There were senile dementia and cognitive impairment before operation. History of glaucoma or allergy to PGE1.
