Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective gastrointestinal surgery under general anesthesia; 2. Age >= 65 years old; 3. ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status Classification System) grade I-IV.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Preoperative nutritional risk screening 2002 (NRS2002) were not available. 2. Numerical rating scores(NRS) after surgery were not available.

the prevalence of CPSP;

MeasureTime frame
the prevalence of moderate or severe pain in 3 months after operation;the prevalence of APSP;opioid consumption for 72 hours, 7 days postoperatively (morphine equivalent dose, mg);length of hospital stay and total hospital cost;risk factors for CPSP in elderly patients undergwent elective gastrointestinal surgery;
