Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study was based on the Chinese National Birth Core-Wuxi Subcohort (CNBC-WX). Pregnant women aged =18 years and gestation weeks =14 weeks from September 2017 to July 2019 were included in the maternal and infant cohort, and blood samples were provided in the early (28 weeks) gestation periods. The inclusion criteria of this study were: (1) single live birth. (2) Serum samples provided by the mother at different stages of pregnancy can be used for heavy metal detection. (3) Good communication, voluntary participation in the completion of children's neurodevelopmental assessment and testing.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) The mother gave birth to multiple or twin births. (2) Offspring with birth defects. (3) The offspring are born with serious genetic diseases or other diseases that seriously affect neurodevelopment. (4) Children who are unable to complete developmental assessments, incomplete behavioral questionnaires, missing children's blood samples, or abnormal data.
