Interventions

precooling storage group:cement were stored overnight in a refrigerator (4°C) before mixing
Normal temperature storage group:cement stored in the closet of the operating room (23°C).

55 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) the age of the patient is equal to or greater than 55 years; (2) one-level OVCF in the thoracolumbar region (T11, T12, L1, L2), with confirmation of diagnosis by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); (3) OVCF without damaged vertebral posterior wall and nerve lesion; (4) no significant benefit from 4 weeks conservative treatment, or severe pain; (5) a T score of -2.5 or lower for lumbar or femur bone mineral density (BMD).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) burst fractures, spinal malignancy, spinal metastasis, infection, or angioma; (2) neurologic deficits; (3) a fracture severity grade above 50%; (4) diagnosed with kummell's disease; (5) uncorrectable bleeding disorders; (6) severe comorbidities of the heart, liver, kidney, or lung.
