Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Children with the first hospitalization in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU); 2.Aged between 1 month and 18 years old; 3.Undergoing mechanical ventilation and experiencing the first extubation; 4.The family members consent and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of previous dysphagia; 2.Tracheotomy status or history of previous tracheotomy; 3.History of head and neck surgery or radiotherapy and chemotherapy; 4.History of esophageal injury or surgery; 5.Fasting due to reasons other than dysphagia.
