Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The diagnosis of IBD in the selected patients was based on the combination of clinical manifestations, serum and imaging data, endoscopic findings and histopathological examination by three experienced doctors

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were as follows: (1) pregnant or lactating women; (2) Life-threatening conditions such as hematological diseases, tumors, active gastrointestinal bleeding, severe liver and kidney dysfunction, or recent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents; (4) patients with severe infection requiring antibiotics; (5) complete intestinal obstruction or toxic megacolon requiring surgical treatment as soon as possible
