Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient group: 1. Patients diagnosed with a depressive episode according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5);2. Age 10-19 years old;3. Voluntarily sign the informed consent form. Control group: 1. Age 10-19 years old; 2. Able to understand and cooperate with the completion of the required neuropsychological scale tests and polysomnography; 3. Voluntarily participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient group: 1. Young's Mania Rating Scale (YMRS) = 6 points; Any manic, hypomanic, or mixed episodes in the past 6 months; 2. Have been diagnosed or considered to have sleep-breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea; 3. Suffering from other mental illnesses at the same time; 4. Patients with a history of alcohol and drug dependence and acute poisoning in the past; 5. Communication impairment (language barrier, severe visual or hearing impairment); 6. Significant changes in mental status in the past 3 months; 7. Organic diseases of the brain such as seizures. Control group: 1. No obvious sleep disorders, serious internal diseases, mental diseases, developmental delays, etc.; 2. Have not taken sedative-hypnotic drugs or drugs that affect sleep, mood, immune function, cognition, etc., in the past 4 weeks; 3. Exclude other physical diseases, consciousness disorders, mental illnesses and medications that affect sleep, mood and cognition.
