Experimental Group :eat a bag of semi-solid enteral nutrients at dinner and consume low-residue diets for breakfast and lunch on the day prior to colonoscopy
Control group:a 1-day low-residue diet before colonoscopy

18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) adults aged 18-75 years; (2) the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) I-II; (3) scheduled to undergo colonoscopy with sedation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) inflammatory bowel disease (IBD); (2) gastrointestinal obstruction or perforation; (3) toxic megacolon; (4) a history of colorectal cancers; (5) allergy or intolerance to polyethylene glycol (PEG), dimethyl silicone oil (DSO) or semi-solid enteral nutrients (PEN) used in our study; (6) pregnant or breastfeeding women; (7) hemodynamic instability; (8) previous bowel resection; (9) uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes; (10) heart or kidney failure
