Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Periodontitis patient group: Ages 18-60, with gingival inflammation, bleeding on probing, probing depth of =6mm, clinical attachment loss of =5mm, radiographic evidence of alveolar bone loss to at least the middle 1/3 of the root, vertical bone loss of =3mm, and no more than 4 teeth lost due to periodontitis, classified into grades A, B, and C according to the 2018 international classification of periodontal diseases. 2. Periodontally healthy group: Ages 18-60, without gingival inflammation, no bleeding on probing, probing depth of <3mm, no clinical attachment loss, and no radiographic evidence of alveolar bone loss.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Women who are pregnant or nursing; 2. Individuals who smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day; 3. Patients with uncontrolled severe systemic diseases (such as: hypertension, diabetes, heart disease); 4. Those who have taken corticosteroids, antimicrobial, or antibiotic medications within the past 3 months.
