Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: No less than 300 T2DM patients =60 years old admitted to the Department of Geriatrics of the Third People's Hospital of Yunnan Province were included in the study, and all of them met the WHO diagnostic criteria for diabetes in 1999. The hypoglycemic regimen of the patients remained stable within the previous 3 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes mellitus, special type diabetes mellitus, acute complications of diabetes mellitus, severe liver and kidney diseases, malignant tumors, acute and chronic infections, recent history of hormone drug use, Cushing syndrome and other endocrine diseases and connective tissue were excluded.
