Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Hospitalized patients with acute decompensated heart failure aged = 60 years old; 2. Heart failure was diagnosed according to the 2021 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic heart failure. All patients were classified within the New York Heart Association(NYHA) functional classes II to IV; 3. No history of taking antibiotics or probiotics in the past month; 4. Complete clinical data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Acute coronary syndrome; 2.Severe liver cirrhosis (Child–Pugh score B or C), severe sepsis, malignant tumours or stage 5 chronic kidney disease; 3.Use antibiotics or probiotics one month before specimen collection; 4.loss of follow-up.
