Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis

Interventions

FES-MFR group:Participants in the FES-MFR group experienced 1 week of 1 hour per day FES combined with MFR therapy intervention.
Control group:Participants in the control group experienced 1 week of 10 min per day health lecture series.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The following inclusion criteria: 1) AIS diagnosed by medical professionals through clinical and imaging methods and scoliosis between 20° and 40° ; 2) Adolescents aged 10-19 years; 3) The participants does not suffer from other diseases and injuries that interfere with exercise and signed informed consent forms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were as follows: 1) The adolescents received other conservative intervention or therapy such as orthotics, or had scoliosis correction surgery; 2) Those who were abnormal biomechanical characteristics during walking due to any physical disability or other reason such as strength or injury, except in the case of a person with scoliosis; 3) Those who had leg or foot surgery within the last six months and were unable to walk normally.
