Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The participants will be invited to participate in this study if they meet the following inclusion criteria: (i) the age is between 60 and 80; (ii) with depressive symptoms (Geriatric Depression Scale scores between 11 and 25); (iii) live in the research counties for at least two years; (?) be able to use mobile phones independently; (v) be able to communicate in Mandarin.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria are as follows: (i) with probable dementia; (ii) with bipolar disorder, psychotic disorder, substance misuse and other mental diseases; (iii) with cognitive dysfunction or communication impairment; (?) antidepressant medication intake within the past 8 weeks; (v) current participation in psychotherapy.
