Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals who meet all of the following criteria will be included in this study: ? Age 18 or older; ? Fewer than 3 bowel movements per week; ? Increased stool hardness and decreased frequency of bowel movements; ? Habitual constipation; ? Informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Organic constipation; ? Patients with intestinal obstruction; ? Recent abdominal surgery; ? Coexisting severe diseases of the heart, brain, liver, kidneys, or digestive system.
