Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with total occlusion in at least one major coronary artery and duration of the complete occlusion in the coronary arteries was more than 3 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Acute MI or acute coronary syndrome in the past 3 months, (2) Percutaneous coronary intervention and/or coronary artery bypass grafting in the previous 3 months, (3) Severe heart failure (left ventricular ejection fraction, LVEF < 40%), severe heart valve disease or cardiomyopathy, (4) Severe hepatic or renal impairment [estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) < 30 ml/min/1.73m2], (6) Severe infectious, systemic inflammatory, malignant or haematological disease.
