Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (i) Patients in the case group were required to have been diagnosed with rosacea at least twice by different physicians and to meet the diagnostic criteria for rosacea established by the World Rosacea Expert Group in 2019; healthy controls had no skin lesions on the face; (ii) they agreed to avoid washing their faces and applying makeup for 12 hours prior to undergoing skin sampling; and (iii) they agreed to sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. People who have used antibiotics or antifungal drugs systematically in the last 28 days; 2. People who have a history of hormone or antibiotic topical drug treatment on the face in the last two weeks; 3. People who have a combination of other diseases on the face, such as acne, systemic lupus erythematosus, seborrheic dermatitis and so on; 4. People who have facial hirsuteness that interferes with the sample; 5. People who are pregnant, pregnant, or lactating women; 6. People who refuse to sign the informed consent.
