Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) The ability to autonomously recall a specific event related to trauma and to voluntarily engage in trauma exposure and intervention; (2) Negative real-life impact of the traumatic event; (3) No significant hearing or visual impairment; (4) No recent psychotherapy, psychiatric medication, or other psychological intervention studies; (5) Individuals have a predominantly representational style of representing information and have recently experienced at least 1 intrusive representation of the traumatic event or are able to generate representations when recalling the traumatic event.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Serious physical illness or mental disorder; (2) Current suicidal ideation; (3) Excessive stress symptoms (IES-R score > 60); (4) Individuals with a predominantly verbal style of representing information and an inability to produce pictures in their minds when recalling traumatic events.
