Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) unilateral high lumbar disc herniation causes symptoms of lumbar and unilateral nerve roots, and conservative treatment for more than 3 months shows poor efficacy or recurrent attacks; (2) patients with acute disc herniation or prolapse resulting in significant neurological impairment and severe radiculopathy; (3) Primary operation; (4) Imaging (CT, MRI) showed herniation at the central side of the higher disc, or herniation at the foramen. The lesions were l1/2 and L2/3.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Lumbar spinal stenosis; (2) Dynamic position X-ray shows lumbar instability (excluding degenerative spondylolisthesis); (3) infection, tumor and deformity of lumbar spine; (4) Bilateral nerve root symptoms or signs; (5) Imaging (CT, MRI) showed severe calcification of the upper disc, or bony spinal stenosis with huge osteophytes at the posterior edge of the vertebral body; (6) Lost visitors.
